This was sent to me by Gordon Wright who found them where he works at the church office. He used to spend summers with his grandparents in Hinckely, and we have shared data about the town.

I have transcribed it as it appears in the photographic copy I have.

Harriet Theobald Bliss Lee's funeral service appeared in the sacrament meeting minutes of the Hinckley Ward, Deseret Stake , (1927, Page 141):

March 6, 1927

Funeral services of Harriet T. Bliss Lee held in High school auditorium at

2 P.M.

Bishop Chas. A. Stratten presiding and conducting.

Floyd G. Eyre Chorister, Van Dyne Bishop Organist.

Choir sang “Beautiful Isle of somewhere”

Invocation offered by Willis E. Robinson.

Double mixed Quartett (sic sang “Rest for the weary soul.”

Charles R. Woodbury and James S. Blake Sr. spoke of life labors and

faithfulness of departed.

Meba Lee sang solo “I know that my Redeemer lives.”

Otto C. Kock spoke of the departed [ones] qualities as a neighbor.

Charles A. Stratton and Alonzo A. Hinckley spoke of the duties and

service rendered by departed also the duties and service we all owe to

those who are left behind.

Poem composed to departed [one] by Lester W. Lee was read by Lafayette

C. Lee.

Closing song Solo and Choir “O My Father” by Lyle C. Pratt and Choir.

These are the funeral minutes of Norman I. Bliss- they were sent to me by Gordon Wright who works in the church history department in Salt Lake. He is not related but we have shared data about Hinckley, where he spent his summers with his grandparents.

Norman Ingles Bliss's funeral service appeared in the sacrament meeting minutes of the Hinckley Ward, Deseret Stake. (1919, page 94)

Funeral of Norman I Bliss who died Aug. 4, at 6 P.M. in a Hospital in

Salt Lake City from [an] accident by a hay derrick fork was held Aug. 7,

1919 at 2 P.M in the Academy Building.

Bp. Jonathan B. Pratt presiding.

The Choir Sang "Come Ye Disconsolate."

Prayer by Thomas W. Cropper.

Solo, " I Know My Heavenly Father Knows" sung by James Western of

Deseret.

The speakers were Robert E. Robinson Sen., James S. Blake Sen, Present

Jos. E. Robinson, President Alonzo A. Hinckley, a Mr. Dixon [,] Cashier of

Delta Bank, and Bishop Jonathan b. Pratt, also a letter from Attorney Jos.

A. Melville regarding his high esteem for the departed one, all these spoke

of the great worth and honest, faithful, trust imposed in Norman Ingles

bliss (sic).

Male Quartette by M. Ward Moody, Alma Western, Alma Langston and

Hugh Hilton "Abide With Me"

A Vocal solo by Jennie Langston, entitled "Face to Face."

Norman Bliss

I want to put together a book of the descendants of Norman Ingles Bliss Jr. This means gathering information from my wonderful, but scattered cousins and I need everyone's help. To begin I need a representative from each of the children, preferably someone that can be contacted by email.

From each of the families of the brothers (and one sister) I need. A contact person, a history, a GEDCOM file/or equivalent, some early pictures. I also need a short bio on each of the 1st cousins [ie dee, maxyne, dale, robert, bonnie, etc.] I also need a short bio on Maitland and one on Carma.

I will post the progress here. I have already received a short bio on Elaine Simspon Bliss and one on her daughter Jeanne [great job Jeanne]. Some of the cousins don't yet know about the project, but you will be contacted soon.

Bonnie has promised to take of of Max and Sylvia's family, and Roger has promised to write a history of Oren. Each Sunday I hope to post updates. We need to get this going.
